English language requirements must be met by all applicants.
The English Proficiency test score is equivalent to B2 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) scale (e.g. TOEFL iBT 72 or above, IELTS 5.5 or above).

Those students whose previous Institute instructions were in English can submit an English Proficiency Certificate from their University & are exempt from the Language Test.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Be a national of a country that has diplomatic relations with Japan and not Japanese nationality.
- Physically and mentally fit.
- Must have been born after April 2, 1987.
- Arriving in Japan by the middle of September 2022
- For the most recent two years of formal study, have a CGPA of at least 2.30 out of 3.00.
- On receiving the scholarship, be willing to obtain a student visa and enter Japan for the purpose of studying.
