Important Information to Study in Finland
- Admissions begin in December and end in January. Several kinds of scholarships are offered by Finnish universities.
- The admissions system in Finland is centralized. Students must select their preferred universities and apply online.
- Scholarships are automatically considered when you apply for admission, so there is no need to submit a separate application/process.
- Professors or anyone else need not be contacted.
- Block accounts are not required, as they are in Germany.
- After getting a work permit, there is no limit on the number of hours you can work on odd jobs.
- An income from part-time odd jobs can easily cover the monthly expenses of 450-500 Euros.

How to Study in Finland Without IELTS 2022
Other than IELTS, the following are other ways to gain admission to Finnish universities:
- English is the student’s native language OR
- Any university in the EU/EEA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or the United States taught the student’s previous degree in English. OR
- The English proficiency letter is also accepted by some Finnish Universities if part of a student’s previous academic degree was taught in English.
It is a document provided by your previous school stating that English was your medium of study.
When you apply, you must submit a certificate of English proficiency or Medium of Instruction (MOI).
If you are studying at a university that waives IELTS, you can demonstrate English language proficiency instead. You do not need to submit your IELTS scores.
