University of Manitoba Undergraduate Scholarships Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a bursary at the University of Manitoba, you must apply for the University of Manitoba General Bursary through Aurora as well as any other individual applications needed for particular awards.
- Students must enroll in courses during both the fall and winter terms in order to qualify.
- Students are generally required to enroll in and complete a minimum of 60 percent of a full course load per term (i.e., nine credit hours). The number of credit hours a graduate student needs to complete during the fall and winter terms does not matter as long as they are enrolled as full-time students.
- There is a minimum grade point average requirement for students. The minimum G.P.A. requirement for continuing students is 2.0. To be considered, new students (from high school) must have at least a 70% average in grade 12. Bursaries may also be available for mature students admitted on Mature Student Status.
- On the application, I must clearly state my financial needs. In order to support their claim of financial need, students seeking government student loans from other provinces must provide a copy of their latest official government loan assessment. Please note Manitoba Student Aid recipients do not need to submit a copy of their Notice of Assessment.
